A small pamphlet of poetry. Dedicated to Poets Against Racism. To the fight against racism and oppression. To never accept the black spot handed out by Capitalism. The continued attempts to work us to dust, bad health, poor housing, war. To try to divide and rule us so that we turn against our neighbours and erect walls to protect private property. The crisis they face now, of their own making, will also be marked by a common realisation that we can all live without billionaires but not nurses, doctors, posties, refuse collectors, bus drivers, teachers, Amazon warehouse workers, Deliveroo, Supermarket shelf stackers….. There will always be resistance. A fightback. Always the treasure map of a society where together we can fulfil our dreams.
A collective group of performers who challenge, discuss and confront racism through our own unique forms of art. We encourage people from all over the world to fight racism, bigotry and Islamophobia expressively through the powerful art form that is poetry. Our definition of poetry is widened from singing, rapping, spoken word, writing, comedy and any other creative ways that entails expression with words. Our mission is for performers all over the world to perform locally under the banner of Poets Against Racism so that we can spread the message of absolutely ZERO tolerance for racism and bigotry from the far right. We wish to spread love, peace and positivity between everybody regardless of race, colour, creed, gender or sexual orientation through the enjoyment of live performance.
